Talk UK Sundown Social 2026: Four Years In and Still Getting Better
Our fourth annual Talk UK Sundown Social, held in collaboration with Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce, was another brilliant evening of local business, good food, great conversation and, of course, a few Talktini’s.
What started as a simple idea four years ago has grown into one of the events we look forward to most each year.
The format is still deliberately simple. No presentations. No hard sell. Just a relaxed evening bringing together people from across the Bedfordshire business community to connect, catch up and enjoy themselves.
And each year it seems to get bigger, better and somehow even more special.
This year we welcomed a brilliant mix of familiar faces and new ones, with the event once again hosted at Basepoint, giving us the perfect indoor and outdoor setting.
The food was incredible thanks to Venesa Coodian, The British Mauritian, her mum and team, while La Rondine provided another fantastic selection of Italian pastries.
Lincoln’s piano playing created the perfect background atmosphere throughout the evening, Sommers Waste Solutions kindly provided the soft drinks, and the Talk UK bar team made sure the now-famous Talktinis kept flowing.
And yes, our signature cocktail the Talktini has officially become a thing.
Some of the comments we’ve seen since the event have made us smile, from people calling it “one of the best events of the year” to others already asking when the next one is.
That is exactly what we hoped Sundown Social would become.
A huge thank you, as always, to the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce team for collaborating with us again this year, and to our own Talk UK team for everything that happens behind the scenes long before the first guest arrives.
Events like this never come together on the day alone. There is a huge amount of planning, preparation and teamwork involved, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along.
The energy, conversations and people in the room are what make Sundown Social what it is.
Four years in, and it keeps getting stronger.
We’re already looking forward to year five.
Same time next year?
