Talk UK in Business Focus: Is Your Business Really Ready for the Digital Switchover?

We’re delighted to be featured in the Autumn 2026 edition of Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce’s Business Focus magazine, with an article from Talk UK Director Justine Maroudias looking at the UK’s digital switchover and what we’re currently finding when we visit businesses.

The article, “Has your telecoms bill gone up twice this year and you’re not sure why?”, looks at an issue that has become particularly noticeable over the last month or so.

Businesses know about the digital switchover. Many have already upgraded their phone systems and believe everything has been taken care of.

But when we actually look at everything coming into a building, that isn’t always the case.

Old services are still being discovered on the copper network, sometimes long after businesses thought they had migrated everything.

And with the final switch off getting closer, the time available to identify those services and decide what needs to happen to them is getting shorter.

The article also looks at another issue businesses are beginning to notice: the increasing cost of legacy services as the old network approaches retirement.

For Talk UK, the message is simple.

Don’t assume. Check.

Knowing exactly what services you have, what they’re being used for and how they’re delivered gives you time to make the right decisions before the old network disappears.

A huge thank you to Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce for giving us the opportunity to contribute to this edition of Business Focus and to continue sharing information about one of the biggest changes the UK telecoms industry has seen in decades.
